Titan Q & A with Bill Decker
On the ice, RW Bill Decker has wowed his Titan teammates with one handed stick handling skills. But when not playing hockey, the sixth year Titan loves to listen to the Grateful Dead and watch Japanese version of Mr. Rogers. Titanshockey.com caught up with Bill to learn more about him off the ice.
How did you become a Titan?
Bill Decker: Drafted right out of Midgets.
What do you like best about playing hockey?
BD: The pain.
Which NHL player do you think your style of play is most patterened after and why?
BD: Darren Pang. Even though I'm not a goalie, people tell me I move like one.
What is one thing about you, if known by everyone else on the team, would be a source of constant ridicule in the locker room?
BD: Yeah...........riiiiight. Almost got me with that one.
Which fellow Titan do you think would be the most fun to hang out in a bar with? Why?
BD: Ed Budd. Two words. Crazy Mofo.
What's one thing you think the Titans could do to improve our team for the rest of the season?
BD: More dirty tricks.
Do you have any pregame rituals?
BD: No, why? What have you heard? Who's been talking?!?!?
What number do you wear and why?
BD: 81. Miroslav Satan. Need I say more?
What is your favorite NHL team?
BD: The Avs and whoever happens to be whuppin up on the Red Wings at the time.
What's a goal of yours for the rest of the season?
BD: A hat trick. A natural hat trick would be nice, but I'd take a Gordie Howe.
