Skate & Sport Keeps Game Tight

(Centennial, CO) - This game turned out to be a very exciting game with a lot of scoring. Ray Varela started the scoring for the Titans in the first period with about 6 minutes into the game with a sweet shot from the left off a pass from Andy Munoz. This score was followed by a goal shot from Andy McAuley off a Bill Decker pass.
With about 10 minutes into the period a Sport and Skate forward made a breakaway to score their first goal. However, to make up for the score defenseman Andrew Dougan made a great slap shot to score from a Mike Hada pass. Titans Andy McAuley finished the scoring for the period taking a shot up and over the goalies right side off a pass from Keith Higgins. Five total goals in the first period!
In the second period the Titans eased up a little bit allowing Sport and Skate to add two more goals making for a 4-3 game going into the third period.
Titans Keith Higgins started the scoring in the third period with a quick shot sliding on the ice right past the goalie's right side. Andy McAuley got the assist. Sport and Skate answered that goal with one of their own but it was to be their last one as the Titans stepped up the play and blocked the opponent on every try. With a 11:42 to go Titans Ray Varela with assists from Andy Munoz and Mike Hada scored on lift over the goalie's right side as the puck hit the upper bar and glanced in for the sixth and final point of the game. Titans 6, Sport and Skate 4.
