What Makes a Titan?

By Frank Colella
Denver, CO - Though the names change each season, players come and go, and return again. One has to wonder what these Titan guys are all about. With their exquisite uniforms, the polo shirts, team hats, this web page and the list goes on. What's so special about these guys?

The answer to that is also the answer to why the Titans are possibly the Bladium's most consistent and successful team. It's a team! In the beginning it was this group of guy's willingness to be a team. Then it was their willingness to learn as a team. Then their ability to be friends. And then it was their desire to be a successful team. Through good & bad, thick & thin, these guys are friends, their teammates, and some of the finest people Denver has to offer. The players, their spouses, and their children alike are one big supportive family.

Make no mistake about it, they have had success like many other teams, but this team's strength comes from more than just some guys who show up once a week to play a game. To watch the team play is to see the nice jerseys, the pretty passes, unselfish play, consistent goaltending, and of course the success. What you don't see (but often may hear) is the support section during the game. The concern for one another and their family's during the week when the team still manages to communicate. If a player's down, there's a teammate ready to take responsibility in lifting his spirits, and this is a shared responsibility with all of his teammates. Never underestimate the ability of a Titan player to think about someone other than himself.

These guys are as cohesive a group as you'll find in any sport, at any level. It was an honor to play with them, and it will be an honor to remain part of them. Thanks guys!
